Mountshannon is located on the shores of Lough Derg, one of Ireland’s biggest lakes, in East Clare. It is a beautiful and scenic village with its foundation in the 18th century and a population made up of many different cultures and nationalities.
The small village of Bunratty is located off the N18, main Limerick to Galway road. Undoubtedly, its main feature and spectacle is the great Bunratty Castle, which towers over the river of the same name.
Tulla is a picturesque village situated on high ground, 14 km/9 miles east of Ennis. The highest point in the area is Maghera Mountain, while north of Tulla is Asalpnagown with its excellent forest walks. West of the village is Cullane Wood in the grounds of Cullane House and within a short distance is the old demesne of Kiltanan. Close to the estate there is an underground stream and some limestone caves called ‘The Toumeens’.
Killaloe is a beautiful Shannon-side village right on the eastern fringes of County Clare, and is the busiest boating and fishing centre in the Clare region. With its easy access point to the waterway, Killaloe offers you the chance to immerse yourself in the riverside lifestyle while enjoying the beautiful setting and rich history of this little village.
The village of Tuamgraney is about 1km south of Scarriff, on the R463 road. Beyond Tinarana Bay, the road runs around the shoulder of Caher Mountains and west to Tuamgraney.
